The next unique feature of the New Decision Therapy is testing the left eye and the right eye in front of the mirror. Dr. Artour Rakhimov asks Lynn Himmelman about testing the left and right eyes and what it spiritually means when one or both of them are weak in terms of muscular kinesiology NDT testing.
Lynn replies that there are energy pathways that are reaching all parts of the body through the eyes and one of the things that she feels is very interesting about the New Decision Therapy is that there is a distinction between which eye a client needs to focus on while they are exploring and identifying a particular trauma and the actual release of the trauma needs to happen while they are focusing specifically on one eye or the other. The assessment will indicate which eye that needs to be addressed.
There is an overall guideline which helps the practitioner at the commencement but there are no hard and fast rules. The only rule is really to follow the wisdom of the body, whatever shows up through the assessment in relation to that client. It is in relation to the spiritual meaning of the eyes. We do not try to slot the client into a template – we use the template simply as a guideline to give us a starting point so that we know how to guide the client.
The client�s own body wisdom will determine in the end which eye needs to be focused on and whether that eye is related to the same sex or the opposite sex and its corresponding eye symbolism. For instance, let’s say I am dealing with a female client standing in the mirror and there is a weakness in the right eye. And we confirm through the assessment process that there is a weakness in between the points that correspond with the right eye. I then might start with the inquiry process by asking who their ex-partners were and if they are in a relationship now, and then start from there. The opposite-sex is usually is indicated in the right eye – although it isn’t always that way, it is a starting point. If we find indeed that there are opposite sex connections with these weaknesses then we can go further.
Then more often than not same-sex will show up in the left eye. So if it is a female client it would be females showing up in the left eye and it the client is male it would be males showing up in the left eye. We also do cross-correlation match-up when we test the eyes together with points and that gives additional information when we test a weak eye with weak points and we check them together we get a strong response because a negative times a negative gives a strong response. It is basically saying that yes, there is something spiritually important here that we need to address and the weakness in the right eye is related to this material that we are finding in the meridian points on the body. This is where the real heart of the process begins when we identify those match-ups and put attention on them.
