BPT (Buteyko Practitioner Training)

Part 1. Water Purity for Ordinary and Normal People

Summary of the video “Water Purity Report (Buteyko Breathing Retraining BPT Module)” with URL address https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMIaZ8-dj00 /.

4 types of water according to their purity:

1. RO (reverse osmosis) water (99.9% impurities removed + sometimes minerals and/or electrolytes added)

2a. Baby waters (only in some countries: Germany, Austria, USA, Canada, …)

2b. Waters produced using steam distillation

3. Selected natural waters (popular ones: “Evian” and “Volvic” from French Alps; less popular and less known: from New Zealand and Iceland, “Prolom” present in in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Germany, etc.)

4. Other natural waters.

– Should you worry if you are quite healthy and use some natural waters? Probably not, but you can test it …

– How to define if this bottled water is natural or RO water?

Hard vs. soft waters:
General guidelines are based on calcium carbonate content in milligrams per liter (U.S. Geological Survey):
0 – 60 mg/l: soft water
60 – 120 mg/l: moderately hard water
120 – 180 mg/l: hard water
over 180 mg/l: very hard water.

Therefore, if water that you buy is very low in calcium (20 mg/L or less), it is nearly certain that this water is produced with reverse osmosis since such soft waters are nearly impossible to find in nature.

The video provides several examples of water labels from bottles with answers on the right side (if this water is RO water or not).

Suggestion: Install RO (reverse osmosis) machine at home: 2 filters to replace, in 2-3 years, it pays back for a family of 4-5.

Part 2. Water Purity for People with GI Concerns

This part provides water purity suggestions for people with IBS, IBD or inflammatory bowel disease (including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), as well as duodenitis, gastroduodenitis (with gastritis or inflammation in the stomach), jejunitis (inflammation of the jejunum), and related disorders.
