Cause of nasal congestion
Relief and treatment of nasal congestion require the elimination of its cause: chronic hyperventilation that constricts blood vessels, reduces oxygen delivery to cells, and suppresses the immune system. Nasal congestion (also known as a “stuffy nose”) occurs only in people who have low body-oxygen levels (less than 20 seconds for the body-oxygen test). Tissue hypoxia is caused by chronic hyperventilation, upper chest breathing, and habitual mouth breathing.
