In the above video, Dr. Artour Rakhimov talks about the most important discovery of Dr. Buteyko: Buteyko Table of Health Zones. It gives an introduction about the different Health Levels which have been defined and explained by the doctor in a specific way years ago. Being the introductory video, it talks about the main terms which need to be understood by the people in order to understand the whole discovery and its importance.
Dr. Artour focuses on the point that according to Dr. Buteyko there are different levels of health, once these levels are understood the rest of the activities and advise which the doctor has provided become easier and clearer to understand. These levels are known as the Buteyko Health Levels. All these Buteyko levels are present on the Buteyko Table of Health Zones which helps in a broader and better understanding of the concept.
While the original Buteyko Table used negative numbers for zones of poor health (due to hyperventilation or overbreathing) and alveolar hypocapnia (reduced carbon dioxide in the lungs), the new Table has Health Levels that start with zero (for death) and progress up to 12 (maximum body oxygenation based on the Buteyko CP test or body oxygen test). Here is an image that shows the disadvantage of the previous Buteyko Table.
Further, Dr. Artour talks about the hardships faced by Dr. Buteyko to explain the process to Russian patients. Asking them to breathe in and out for minutes is one of the main strategies involved. Also, Dr. Artour Rakhimov explains why the Health Levels or the Buteyko Health Levels of health`s result is not 100% accurate for everyone. However, the Buteyko levels do provide a 90 percent accurate result. If a person is believed to be or is on a certain Health Level such as the 12, 11 or 10 they are considered to have super health, therefore, they require no medication at all of any kind.
But if a person is on the Buteyko Health Level 1 to 6 it means that the person`s health is not normal and that he requires medication and treatment. For example, both Health Level 3 and Health Level 4 indicates that there is a disease present in the person which requires treatment. While being on the Buteyko Health Level 7 indicates that the health of the person is normal and that there is no need for any medication.
Moreover, Dr. Artour explains how Health Levels can help in identifying the major problems or health issues (including symptoms and medication) present in people. Dr. Artour also talks about what is meant by saying that this person has a minus 3 Health Level or a minus 4 Health Level and so on.
The role which is played by the pulse rate is also spoken of in this video and how it can help in the understanding of the Health Level or condition of the people. Another vital aspect of the Buteyko Table which has been mentioned and discussed in the video is that there is no need to rush for different kinds of medical tests or examinations in order to determine whether the person is ill or not. The energy and money which is spent on these tests can easily be saved by referring to the Buteyko Table of Health Zones.
The table is capable of giving out so much information about the patients just by the keen and deep observation of their breathing. Therefore, Dr. Artour focuses on the ways in which the Buteyko Table of Health Zones aid normal people in identifying how healthy or how sick they are using Health Levels.
